LegalScope is a website assessment service operated by MINISAGE TECH LTD, registered in England and Wales under company number 17229324. Our business contact details appear above. In these terms, ‘we’ means MINISAGE TECH LTD and ‘you’ means the person or organisation using or purchasing the service.
These terms govern your use of legalscope.co.uk and purchases from us. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to do so. The service and reports are provided in English. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information; it is not a request for blanket consent to processing.
2. What the service provides
The scanner examines accessible public pages and browser signals, such as cookies, external requests, forms, legal-document links, security headers and automated accessibility results. A free summary provides limited findings. Where offered, a one-time full-report purchase unlocks the findings, supporting evidence and recommendations, a PDF and a data recipients annex for that report.
GLOBAL is a technical assessment, without a determination of applicable law, transfer legality or fines. Country rule packs currently cover the United Kingdom, Germany and Israel. Choosing one pack does not determine all laws that may apply to your business. The coverage and methodology pages describe current capabilities and limitations.
A scan is a point-in-time assessment with a limited crawl scope. Geography, bot protection, authentication, dynamic content, timeouts and later website changes can affect the result. We do not promise to inspect every page or detect every issue. A pass or a high score is not a compliance certificate. Fine information is illustrative context, not a prediction of a regulator’s decision.
4. Automated information, not professional advice
LegalScope provides automated information to help you prioritise further work. It is not a law firm, regulator, certification body or substitute for a qualified professional. No solicitor–client relationship is created. You should assess whether a rule applies to your circumstances and obtain appropriate advice before relying on a report for a legal or commercial decision.
You remain responsible for decisions and changes to your website. A remediation suggestion is not a guarantee that implementing it will satisfy every requirement. Any separately agreed professional or implementation service must have its own scope; buying a report does not automatically buy legal advice or remediation work.
5. Prices, payment and orders
The price and currency for the report are shown before payment. Review the final amount and any applicable tax information in checkout before confirming. Full-report purchases are one-time payments for the identified report; they do not automatically create a paid subscription or authorise recurring charges.
Where checkout is enabled, Stripe processes the payment. We receive payment status and relevant order details, not your full card number or security code. Checkout may be unavailable if payment services are not configured or are temporarily interrupted. A free scan does not oblige you to buy anything.
An order is accepted when payment is confirmed and the report is unlocked. If payment is taken but we cannot provide the purchased report, contact us so we can restore delivery or arrange an appropriate refund. If you see a pending payment confirmation, keep the report link and contact us rather than paying again.
6. Digital delivery and report access
Reports are supplied digitally through the report page. Once payment confirmation is received, a purchased report is unlocked and its PDF and annex can be downloaded. Where email delivery is enabled, we also send a report link to the email address you provide. There is no physical shipment or shipping charge.
Payment confirmation and email delivery can be delayed. Contact us with the report identifier, purchase email and relevant payment reference if a paid report remains locked or an email does not arrive. Do not send full card details. Save a copy of the report and these terms for your records; we do not promise permanent storage or uninterrupted access.
Report URLs act as access links. Anyone who obtains the link may be able to view the report, including its unlocked content. Keep it private and share it only with intended recipients. The Privacy Policy explains storage and deletion requests.
7. Cancellations, refunds and problems
If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to cancel a distance contract within 14 days, subject to the rules that apply to the service or digital content. We do not treat opening a report or starting a scan, by itself, as a waiver of that right. Nothing in these terms removes a cancellation right that the law gives you.
To request cancellation or a refund, email hello@minisage.co.uk with your name, the report URL or identifier, the email used for purchase and the order date. State that you wish to cancel or describe the problem. You may use this cancellation wording: ‘I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following LegalScope report: [report identifier], ordered on [date]. Name: [name]. Purchase email: [email].’ You do not have to use that wording to make a valid cancellation request.
For a duplicate charge, failed delivery or a report that is faulty or materially different from what was described, contact us promptly. We will investigate and provide the remedy required by law, which may include redelivery, correction, a price reduction or a refund. Where a refund is due, it will be returned through the original payment method where possible, within any applicable statutory deadline. We do not impose a blanket ‘no refunds’ rule.
For business customers, cancellation requests outside applicable statutory rights are assessed by reference to the order, delivery status and problem reported. A finding that you disagree with is not automatically a delivery failure, but we welcome reports of factual errors and will investigate them.
8. Monitoring and other optional features
Monitoring is separate from a one-time report purchase. If you request an available monitoring feature, it may periodically reassess the submitted site and email changes. The actual schedule, limits and any price must be disclosed when that feature is offered. Buying a report does not automatically enrol you.
You can use an unsubscribe link in monitoring emails or contact us to stop alerts. Any later paid recurring service must disclose its billing and cancellation terms before you agree to it; these terms do not authorise a new recurring charge.
9. Your material and use of reports
You retain rights in material you own. By submitting it, you authorise the processing needed to provide the requested scan, report and support. You must not submit material where that processing would infringe another person’s rights.
You may use your report for your own business or personal assessment and share it with your advisers or people you authorise. The LegalScope software, branding and general rule library remain ours or our licensors’. A report may contain third-party text or references; it does not transfer ownership of that material. Do not present a report as an official certification or endorsement.
10. Service responsibilities and liability
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Automated evidence has the limitations described above, and we do not guarantee a particular legal, regulatory, financial or search-engine outcome. Temporary unavailability may occur because of maintenance, provider failures or events outside our reasonable control.
For consumers, we are responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law. For business use, we do not accept liability for indirect or consequential business loss to the extent the law permits. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability or statutory right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Changes, complaints and applicable law
We may update these terms for future use of the service. The date above identifies this version. The terms applicable when an order was made continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you. Material changes will be communicated where required.
Please send complaints to hello@minisage.co.uk so we can investigate. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. For business customers, the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away mandatory protections or any right you have to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable law.
